زندگی نامه

Ahmad Erfani-Nasab (born July 17, 1984 - Qom) is an Islamic issues researcher and university lecturer. His works often provide updated readings of Islam. He is keen on doing comparative studies between Sharia and International Human Rights Law system. He is Head of the Department of Shiite Jurisprudence Research at Global Center for Jurisprudence of Purified Imams (Islamic Seminary of Qom, Iran) where he has been since 2008. Also, he has been researcher and member of the Department of Islamic Human Rights in that center since 2011. From 2010, he has served as paralegal at Mofid University Legal Clinic (Qom, Iran) in which he has been Deputy for Research and Innovation during 2010-May 2013.

He received his LLB from Mofid University (Qom,Iran) in 2010 and his MA in Public International Law from AllamehTabataba'i University (Tehran, Iran) in 2014. Now, he is PhD candidate inPublic International Law at University of Tehran. Since 2001, he haseducated at Islamic Seminary of Qom (equivalent: PhD student in IslamicJurisprudence). Furthermore, he has participated in some short term courses. In2012, he attended in a five-day course titled "human rights in Islam"at Global Center for Jurisprudence of Purified Imams. In 2011, he attended in11th specialization course in International Criminal Law titled "theSharia: sources of law and selected legal aspects" at ISISC (Siracusa,Italy). From 2008 to 2010, he has participated in clinical courses at MofidUniversity Legal Clinic.

His research interests center on International Human Rights Law, clinical legal education and Humanitarian Law. In the beginning of 2011,he, as co-author, presented a paper titled "the role of legal clinics of law schools in human rights education: Mofid University Legal Clinic experience" at Bahcesehir University (Istanbul, Turkey). In the late of 2011, he gave a presentation on "Muslim clerics and leadership in human rights education in Muslim societies" in 2nd world conference on learning, teaching and educational leadership (Istanbul, Turkey). In addition, he has conducted research on "human dignity in an Islamic perspective" and"violence against women in view point of Islamic teachings". Lately, he is working on minorities rights in Islam and international law
